Ms. Janis' music appreciation class has allowed my kids to get exposed to a variety of instruments as well as the history of the instruments in a short period of time.  Not only have they had enormous enjoyment in learning about new "sounds of music" they have also been able to make some instruments as part of their lessons.  Every week there is a new surprise waiting for them with Ms. Janis'.  Janis complements the music lessons and the art projects with actual music she plays on her guitar or  from her iPad, which my kids enjoy immensely.  I feel that her lessons are beyond just "a music lesson".

Unfortunately the opportunity to nurture any of that genetic musical talent passed me by, but it absolutely lives within him.
